Psychedelic Path
For some drugs the separation between legal or illegal follows a logic that is more social than medical. In the 1970’s the history of psychedelics changed in a very unfortunate manner. The war on drugs, initiated by U.S president Nixon lead to total censorship on psychedelic drugs. This was a way in which to criminalize certain demographics who would vote for his opponents. Thus, LSD, Can- nabis and Psilocybin were classified as tier 1 of most dangerous substances.
Psychedelic Path is an invitation to decriminalize psychedelics and learn about them. As they’re coming back to the surface, it is an opportunity to reconnect with ourself and redefine how we stand in our environment. In a world in constant movement and activity, psychedelics have the power to stop the clock for a second and offer a moment of truth.
With this project I aimed to create a space inspired from memories of my experiences with psychedelics in nature. But how would it be at night, without colors ? Under the moonlight, the forms, the molecules, the atoms, blend into each other as the forest becomes magical.
